Meet the Artists
Carlos Benaim, Master Perfumer, New York
Carlos Benaïm is the ultimate artist, trained by master perfumer Ernest Shiftan, and having spent the last 60 years creating perfumery largest blockbusters, from Polo and Polo Blue (Ralph Lauren), Carolina Herrera, Eternity for Men (Calvin Klein) to co-creating Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb, YSL Libre, and many more. Originally born in Tangier, Marocco, Carlos’ inspiration is the world. A painter and philanthropist, Carlos is energized by teamwork, across generations, regions, and categories.

Domitille Michalon, VP Perfumer, Paris
Domitille celebrated 30 years at IFF in 2024. She is a genuine Parisian, enamored with her city. She’s the ultimate traveler, discovering the world through scents, ever since her early childhood spent in the exotic paradise of Vanuatu where, she discovered woods and spices – which she’s never stopped exploring since. The luxury she loves speaks of simplicity, the beauty of craftsmanship, the perfection of savoir-faire, rid of pointless adornments. Some of her creations include Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb (co-creation), Marc Jacobs Perfect, Amouage xxx, and more.

Caroline Dumur, Senior Perfumer, Paris
From discovering perfumery through books, to graduating from ISIPCA, and joining IFF in 2009, Caroline lives and breathes fine fragrance.
Mentored first by Anne Flipo, as well as Dennis Maroney, and Jane Josephine, Caroline’s creations reflect her unique blend of contrasts – subtle and fierce, shy and passionate, emotional and cultured – with notable works including : So Sweet by Lolita Lempicka, XS Pure for Men by Paco Rabanne, Chloé Nomade Eau Naturelle, L’Artisan Parfumeur Il Était un Bois, Irresistible EDP Parfum
