Located in Toamasina, Madagascar, at the heart of the world’s leading vanilla‑growing region, the IFF Vanilla Innovation Center is the industry’s first end‑to‑end innovation hub at origin. Spanning 650 m², the center brings together extraction, flavor creation, application development and farmer collaboration under one roof.
As a core innovation hub, the center enables the co‑creation of the next generation of vanilla, delivering differentiated and future‑ready solutions. From ideation through commercialization, our collaborative teams benefit from precise, origin‑based science, laboratory‑scale extraction and application expertise. Supporting this work, The Bloomery —IFF’s dedicated vanilla greenhouse—showcases bean varieties and modern agronomic practices, setting a new standard for vanilla excellence.
The Singapore Innovation Center, one of the first research, creative and application centers to integrate the technologies, capabilities and expertise across all IFF businesses. At nearly 11,000 square meters, it is the largest IFF site in the region.
Situated in Singapore’s premier biomedical research hub, the ultra-modern center features more than ten creation, design and analytical laboratories, a collaboration studio, and culinary and demo kitchens, providing customers with full sensory capabilities to support each stage of the process from ideation through commercialization. It has one of the biggest dairy processing pilot plants in Southeast Asia, replicating large-scale industrial production processes. The center also houses IFF’s global innovation center for fabric care powders and personal wash, the largest scent evaluation facility worldwide, and is the first IFF location to support all scent product categories.
Located within the historic Bell Works, this 60,000 square-foot R&D hub pays homage to a legacy of innovation. With 32 cutting-edge evaluation spaces, we harness the power of digital olfaction technology, immersive virtual reality scent experiences, and pioneering scent printing to redefine the fragrance industry.

Located on the campus of Florida Polytechnic University, the Citrus Innovation Center is a first of its kind facility dedicated solely to citrus advancements in flavor and fragrance product creation With immersive technologies and a botanical research greenhouse that celebrates citrus sustainability and leverages LMR by IFF natural ingredients expertise, this LEED Silver Certified facility thrives on collaboration and education. We opened our first hair salon in IFF’s New York headquarters over 20 years ago to understand the complete performance of our hair care scent solutions. Today, we have a global network, where perfumers, scent design managers and our customers can smell and collaborate in real-life conditions.
